
Most breweries do not
insure as they have few losses and perceive only a small proportion
of their customers carry risks. Often they supply small customers
(pubs) and relatively risk-free categories such as pub groups and
the major grocery chains.
IRC Europe was asked to help create a facility to support a small
brewery’s efforts to develop sales within both a number of selected
export markets, as well as their UK wholesale market.
This we did, enabling our client to insure less than 10% of their
total sales, but helping them focus on developing sales to the more
risky areas of their ledger.
